Colour Now featured on The Art Shrew Podcast

Make it stand out

We are delighted to share the launch of The Art Shrew Podcast, a new ongoing series created and hosted by Lucy Caddel, trustee of SADAA Arts, the charity that runs Gateway Gallery.

The Art Shrew Podcast celebrates artists, makers and creative thinkers, exploring their practice, process and the stories behind their work. Through thoughtful conversation and curiosity, the series opens up space for deeper reflection on what it means to make art today.

The first episode features Caris Jackson discussing her collage practice and curating Colour Now at Gateway Gallery. In conversation with Lucy, she reflects on the ideas behind the exhibition, her wider artistic journey and the layered, theatrical storytelling that runs through her work.

The episode also takes listeners on an audio tour of the exhibition, highlighting the work of the featured artists: Nick Boy, Isabel Bradley, Tin City, Tricia Crowther, Stew Harrison, Caris Jackson, JoyPolloi and The Doll Parlour.

We are proud to see one of our trustees contributing to the wider arts conversation in this way. The podcast reflects the same spirit that has sustained Gateway for decades, a commitment to creativity, dialogue and giving artists the space to be seen and heard.

You can listen to the episode below.

We look forward to following the series as it grows and continues to champion artists and creative practice across the region and beyond.
